Preparing Pancakes in 5 minutes

Baking pancakes is an easy thing to cook, especially if you only have a few ingredients left in the house. It is done within 5 minutes and just need the following:


This should be enough for cooking Dutch pancakes for 3 persons:

  • 250 gram of self rising Flour
  • 0,5 litre of milk
  • 1 egg
  • teaspoon of salt
  • Cooking oil

Cooking pancakes quickly


1. Put the flour in a bowl and mix it with the milk and egg. Mix it till it gets evenly and liquid. 
2. If too sturdy, add more milk or if too liquid (like water), add a bit more flour. Its viscosity should be that if you put it on a plate, it evenly spreads thinly, but stays together as one part. Add a teaspoon of salt and mix it. 
3. Add a teaspoon of oil to a hot cooking pan, and spread the oil. The fire should be 3/4 of maximum, if it too hot, the oil starts fuming. 
4. Take a kitchen soup ladle and fill it with 3/4 of the mixture and put it in the cooking pan and rotate it evenly. 
5. Wait till the top gets dry (should be around 2 minutes), and then turn it around. Wait another minute and take it out. 
6. Put again a few drops of oil in the pan, spread it evenly, and pour 3/4 soup ladle of mixture in the pan and repeat again the cooking.
